You hear about these stories every once in awhile. I applaud people like Edith. They are heroes to me. Those who will stand up to those who would destroy the life they live. She would not take a million dollars from a developer just to live out her life in her home. People should not be forced to abandoned their homes and then watch them bulldozed in the name of so called progress. And by living there until she passed on, she wins. And to Barry, the construction manager, he was a true person of compassion. Thank you for being Edith's friend. God bless Barry. I hope that house stands for many, many years, a tribute to the indomitable Edith and her friendship with Barry.
